Clearfly announces new high-bandwidth products

San Francisco, CA. March 15th 2010

Clearfly Communications, http://www.clearfly.net, an infrastructure-based provider of unified communications solutions for the small and medium business community, has announced a revamp of its line of integrated communications products to meet the ever increasing demand for bandwidth by its small-medium business customers in the Qwest footprint. The new products include:

  • 2 additional versions of its flagship Clearphone Lite product:

o   Clearphone Lite 7, based on ADSL2+ technology, featuring 7  Megabits/sec downlink and 869 Kilobits/sec uplink

o   Clearphone Lite 12, also based on ADSL2+ technology, featuring 12 Megabits/sec downlink and 869 Kilobits/sec uplink

Just as its best-selling Clearphone Lite package, (now available throughout the 14 states comprising Qwest territory) the 2 new versions feature 3 SIP trunks (phone lines), expandable to 5.

  • A high-end product named Clearphone XT, based on state-of-the-art Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM) symmetrical-access technology capable of delivering over 20 Megabits/sec both in the downlink and uplink, which includes 6 SIP trunks, expandable to 46 (the equivalent of 2 traditional PRIs). Clearphone XT is ideal for companies with a large amount of voice traffic or that need significant uplink capacity to support applications such as videoconferencing or remote backup. Clearphone XT is currently available only in specific geographies.

“New-generation DSL technologies, and their derivative EFM, represent an optimal evolution path for business broadband” says Mauro Calvi, Chief Executive Officer of Clearfly. “These technologies rely on dedicated last-mile circuits and can benefit from limited over-provisioning policies implemented at the CO level and on the MPLS backbone. This enables service providers like Clearfly to cater to the business market with service levels that compare to traditional T-1s, but at data rates that are more in line with the needs of the 21st century”

A map of Clearfly’s new market coverage is available at http://clearfly.net/service_availability.html, together with a query to check for service availability at a specific location.

Clearfly’s services come in flat-rate data and voice packages including unlimited US and Canada long distance, support for fax, credit card authentication, security applications and remote network management, and are specifically designed for the needs of companies with 5 to 500 employees. The services feature all the reliability and quality of traditional voice, bundled with the performance and reliability of an MPLS data network.
